When visiting Ocean City in the off-season, the days can get pretty chilly. Ocean City has many different coffee shops around town to warm you up that are open all year long. Whether you’re looking for a frozen latte in the summer or a warm cappuccino in the winter, these coffee shops have you covered.
I was in town this past weekend and stopped at three different coffee shops in downtown OCNJ. Each one has a different atmosphere, yet they all incorporate the personality of Ocean City and the beach. Best of all, the staff at every one of the coffee shops are so friendly! Be sure to check out these spots next time you’re in town.
Ocean City Coffee Company
With two storefronts, one on Asbury Ave and one on the boardwalk, Ocean City Coffee Co. is an OCNJ staple. Ocean City Coffee Co. roasts their fair trade beans in-house and has created 14 blends, some available in both caffeinated and decaffeinated. Not only does the coffee shop offer prepackaged coffee blends to take home, they sell pastries and unique handmade coffee mugs.
Ocean City Starbucks
Starbucks opened their storefront on Asbury Ave in 2013 and opened another this past summer on the boardwalk. Beach-goers can order their favorite Frappuccino or Shaken Iced Tea with sandy feet at the walk-up window on the corner of 11th & Asbury. Both locations are decorated with subtle beach touches and are welcoming to locals and tourists.
Drip n’ Scoop
Drip n’ Scoop is a new addition to the downtown district located at 960 Asbury Ave. The store is a popular attraction with people ordering different coffees and boxes of their donuts made on the premises. Don’t leave without trying their Nitro Brewed coffee, it’s unlike anything you’ve ever had!
“We’re a unique addition to Ocean City’s downtown district. We’re a coffee shop in the morning with Nitro brewed coffee on tap daily, and an ice cream spot at night.”
– Drip n’ Scoop employee Sammy Mirsch
